IMAGE TIPS...
Remember the 3 S's - Size, Sharpness, and Subject
-
Size - Remember, the bigger the photo (pixel size) the better. Try to choose images that are at least 1 mb but not larger than 3 mb. When scanning photos to upload, set scanner to 300 dpi. Photographs should be at least 4×6 in size. If possible, crop the image to include just the face or torso area.
-
Sharpness - Images need to be in focus and close-ups of the head or torso area as much as possible. Images that are at a distance will appear out of focus when enlarged and cropped to the face.
-
Subject - The photograph should emphasize the individual or individuals the portrait will be about. For example, selfies work well because they're close-ups of the person, couple, or group.
